Inspired by the groundbreaking neuroscience of Memory Reconsolidation, which demonstrates that long term memories can be changed and even erased, Silvera’s work explores the ways in which memory haunts and heals, while consolidating our identities. Driven by questions about her own history, Silvera has gone inside the neuroscience labs of McGill, Columbia University and Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine to explore the latest developments in the science of memory.
